Departing from Mansons Landing Provincial Park, our course takes us towards the towering granite cliffs of the Gorge Harbour, where First Nations pictographs back the ebb and flow of the tides. Heading West past Marina Island, we make our way to Sutil Channel, which is the largest waterway in the Discovery Islands.  Forested islands, beaches, and lagoons border these nutrient rich waters where whales, porpoises and other marine mammals gather to feed annually. The last decade has seen a dramatic increase in the number of Humpback whales feeding in our summer waters. With luck, we may be fortunate enough to respectfully observe these gentle giants. Don’t forget to bring a towel, as swimming off of the Misty Isles is a daily affair!
